LiveS Cube
LiveS Cube is a social network system built on mobile address books providing status sharing, information pushing and merchant searching. It has been released and overwhelming positive feedback has been received.
This project received official support and endorsement from Tsinghua University, and we are actively negotiating with a number of interested investors, including the Internet Society of China. I designed and popularized the product, and worked with my fellow team members to implement and test the server and the Android client of LiveS Cube. - Multiple platforms
Android and Symbian S60 supported. Public information in LiveS Cube server is also available to Web and WAP visitors. - Social network built on phone book
Never search, add or confirm friends, because you have created your social network in your mobile phone book. In LiveS Cube, we are friends If you store my phone number in your system phone book, and I store your phone number in my system phone book. - Set social status quickly
The easiest way to set your social status: Select your current location, activity and mood from 3 lists, which are organized by LRU (least recently used) rule. You can add new entries to those lists, or alternatively you can type your status directly. Automatic location detecting and other context-awareness features are coming soon. - Read social status in system phone book
Social status of your contacts are stored in system phone book, so you will see the status of your friend once you want to connect him/her. In addition, (Android only) you can see a contact's status wherever a contact badge is shown, i.e, on home screen, in SMS conversations and in Gmail. - Download groups
A group consists of several contacts. You can create a group for your class, laboratory or company and others will be able to download it through LiveS Cube. Localized information is provided through public groups. Currently, frequently used phone number of Tsinghua University and take-away service near the campus are available to LiveS Cube users. - Information forward
The server of LiveS Cube collects specific information and forward it to LiveS Cube users by "virtual contacts". Currently we collect academic bulletins and campus activities from websites in Tsinghua University, as well as news. - Push short messages
Your friend will receive a short message if you set an "important" social status (with prefix "!"). - (Android only) Share contacts by QR-Code
You can add contacts or groups by take a picture of a QR-Code, and share your contacts (including yourself) to others by showing a QR-Code on the mobile screen. QR-Code of public groups are available on our website.
